This amazing recipe will make you lick the bowl. My husband claimed it’s the best chicken he ever tasted. Bursting with citrus and Asian flavors it is seriously yummy!!!
Prepare the sauce by mixing all the ingredients together in a large baking dish.
Add cut up chicken of your choice, drumsticks, thighs, breast.
Mix the chicken in the sauce to coat well on all sides.
Bake, covered at 375° for about 30 minutes.
Turn the chicken over and cook uncovered for 20 more minutes.
This is great served with steamed greens like kale, bok choi or broccoli rabe.
Sauce ingredients:
1 tablespoon grated ginger
3 garlic cloves, diced
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dry)
Hot red pepper flakes to taste, I used 1/2 teaspoon but use more if you like it spicy
Juice of two oranges
Grated zest of 1 orange
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Grated zest of 1/2 lemon
3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
