Ask Healthnutgirl:

What is lemon morning drink good for? What if I don’t like/can’t drink lemons?

Hi Darling Hearts,

I have been doing the 7 Day Cleanse program with my private clients for years, and recently offer it as an online E-Program. One of the recommendations is to start each day with a warm lemon drink. When the cleanse is complete, I recommend to continue to drink it regularly.I have gotten numerous questions about it and decided to write this post because this is such an awesome practice, I want you all to know about it!

So what is the morning lemon drink?

It is a great cleanser that is very easy to make:

Squeeze the juice of one lemon, add a teaspoon of honey, mix with warm water and drink first thing in the morning. I recommend to wait 30 minutes, or at least 15, before eating breakfast.

This warm lemonade is a great cleanser. It helps to flush the digestive system and helps the body get rid of toxins and impurities.

Here are some additional benefits:

Lemon, while acidic, have an alkalizing effect on the body, which helps reduce inflammation. A great thing if you have inflamed and achy joints.

Lemon and honey are powerful antibacterial and help the body fight infections and diseases. They strengthen the immune system.

Lemons contain many nutrients, vitamin C, potassium, calcium, magnesium and more. Honey contains many important trace minerals as well. So your body is getting a very nutritious morning drink.

Lemon drinks help strengthen and flush out toxins from the liver.

It is a great remedy to constipation!

It is a diuretic drink, it helps your body get rid of excess water retention and it cleanses your urinary tract. Great aid to UTI (urinary tract infection).

It has an energizing and uplifting affect. Drinking this mixture regularly will help you feel lighter, and the fresh smell of lemon is a great energy and mood booster.

Convinced yet?

This drink purifies your blood, helps to rejuvenate and restore you, helps your body produce more collagen, make your skin glow and make your eye sparkle!!!

If lemons are too acidic for you, try substituting it with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, or a teaspoon of fresh chopped ginger. They will have similar affects and benefits.

And please check out my super rejuvenating and transforming 7 Day Cleanse – your body will thank you!

xoxo
