No Pain No Gain!
Hard In Training, Easy In Battle!
The Harder It Is, The Sweeter The Reward!
Right?
WRONG!
We are surrounded by the above messages and many of their siblings and cousins.
They constantly tell us to try harder, push more, be stronger.
We try and try and then feel like we are failing when it does not work.
That grueling workout is just too hard
and we don’t feel like getting up at the crack of dawn to do it.
We are too tired to cook that healthy meal and just open a bag of chips.
Or a box of cookies.
Or order greasy takeout.
We wish it was easier.
We wish we had a personal chef.
And we struggle,
And try,
And sometimes we do it
And mostly we can’t.
And the simple truth is:
IF IT’S NOT EASY, YOU WILL NOT DO IT!!!!
A healthy lifestyle does not have to be a constant battle with our
bodies,
nature,
cravings
and compulsions.
In fact, a healthy lifestyle is
THE MOST NATURAL THING
for us and for our bodies.
We just have an accumulation of STUFF on top of it.
Bad habits.
Compulsions.
Stagnations.
Misinformation.
When we start living healthier
Our bodies become lighter
We have more energy
Our cells start singing
Our beings becomes filled with light
We feel more like ourselves
And feel more vibrant and awake
It is natural
And it is
EASY
I repeat
IT IS EASY!
And here are 4 steps to ease into it and
not struggle with it:
~ Make it gradual and small.
Want to be fitter?
Start with 5 to 10 minutes a day.
Put a mat on the floor and do some stretches.
Go for a walk around the block before you start your day.
Play your favorite song and dance in your living room.
~ Fall in love.
…With something healthy.
Do you love broccoli?
Look for easy and quick broccoli recipes
and over the weekend prepare a bunch.
Broccoli with olive oil and garlic.
Broccoli pasta salad.
Broccoli soufflé.
~ Drop the all or nothing attitude.
Seriously.
DROP IT!!!
It will sabotage you every time.
So if you go out to dinner and are going to eat those fries, have them with a salad and grilled fish.
If you had a terrible binge, go for a slow walk in the park and breath deeply. Cry if you feel like it.
If you are feeling gloomed and doomed, take a piece of paper and paint a yellow sunshine.
ANYTHING HEALTHY AND POSITIVE YOU DO IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!
That’s your new mantra.
Repeat after me:
ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!
Every time you make a healthy choice it’s something.
Mentally thank yourself for doing that.
REALLY appreciate yourself for making a healthy choice, no matter how small.
~ Keep a healthy choice journal
Write down every single healthy thing you do.
Use colors.
Stars.
Hearts.
Glitter.
Anything that makes it fun and fab for you.
And before you know it, living healthy will become fun and fab.
And a healthy lifestyle just might sneak up on you before you know it.
